Watershed Implementation

Clean water is vital to our health, communities, and economy. The Shiawassee Conservation District works tirelessly with landowners and residents to address concerns in our watersheds. Our education and implementation programs are dynamic and key to making long lasting impacts on water quality. Watershed implementation not only makes immediate changes such as through physical projects, but also fosters stewardship that positively changes behavior.

The District is able to do watershed planning and implementation programs through a variety of funding sources including the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality Nonpoint Source Pollution Prevention Program and Section 319 of the Clean Water Act.
